I just tried to go to the gas station and fill-up my tank, but it seems as if there was no pressure between the nozzle and gas cap! Any gas that was pumped just ran down the side of my car. I had about Two Gallons left in my tank! Has this happened to anyone else, and if so what was t;he problem and how much did it cost to fix it?

i heard of this happening before....the one that i heard of, there was a problem with ventilation inside the tank, thus not allowing the gas to flow into the tank, but all over the side of the car.

Did this problem resolve itself, or was repair needed?

Indeed, but that still resulted in gas running down the side of my car!

most cars trip a light if u try to put gas in it while its running, basically creates a vaccume leak.

I agree...I always leave my car on...something I hear about takes more gas to start than to leave idle for 3 minutes.

I dont believe the thread was about leaving the car running while you get gas.
Anyhow, your best bet is to just call the dealership up and let them know you have a ventillation probelm in your gas tank and see what they would charge to repair. You're probably going ot be better off going to a local mech tho.

Okay then...I just tried and succeeded in filling my gas tank this morning. One key piece of info I left out is that my Service Engine Soon light was on at the time I had the problem in the first place. When I got up this morning and started my car the Service Engine Soon light didn't trigger. There definetly is an underlying problem with the ventilation then!

told ya, the ventilaton systems can detect a leak the size of a pin head, if u leave it running it wont mess anything up but your Pcm will go haywire.
we used to work on the local cop cars, they always left em running while filling up. SES light would go off, they'd bring em to us and the scanner would say the same thing everytime.
soultion.....charge the city for diagnostics on every car they brought us. Needless to say they started shutting em off after a while but boy were we makin some easy money.

l8er guys,
Ron
