Has anyone installed Inifinity Kappa Series speakers in their car, and if so did you need to modify the factory speaker mounts to fit them?

6x9's and the 5'1/4's

Yes for the 6x9's I have the Kappa 3-ways, and I had to trim my rear deck for the huge basket on the speaker to fit.

Dunno about the 5 1/4's though, I put the Kappa 4x6 plates up front.

They make 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 plate adapters that you can buy for up front...it converts it from a 4x6 hole to a 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 hole. They're made for like a 96+ Cavalier, but will still work for the Alero w/ little/no modification.

What about the 6x9 speakers in the rear window deck, and where are the adapter plates listed or can I get them from a mobile installer?

You'll use your factory holders for the 6x9's in the rear in most cases. I did on both my Fosgate and Pioneer sets. They just clip right into the factory holders.
