Call Me Stupid
Somebody help me here. I met a guy today with another alero at a shop and I told him bout this site. Anyway he wanted smoked tails too, so we went to s psrts house and on the way I noticed what I thought was two brake lights out (the ones on the trunk). We changed them and still nothing. He followed me to my house and said mine were doing the same thing. In other words only the outside brakelights were working.
Now, I thought all of the brakelights light up when brake is pressed. Is that only at nighttime or what???

you should have the three bulbs in the 3rd and the two outer bulbs working ALL the time... LED FTMFW

the two mid trunk lights are "night lights" when your headlights engage.

Exactly, it was a stupid moment, but its not like im a stalker. The guy seen my car being pulled in and asked about my headlights. Big woop, what am I supposed to do run away???

You can rewire the trunk lights to function as brake lights...thats what I did cause I didn't like all four tails light at once at night.

Hey don't worry. The 2 one the trunk lid do not go on from the factory, tho the socket is capable and the bulb is too. Its an easy mod on here to add in a extra wire to the sockets so all go on, i've done it and the light output is awesome. The third light has 3 in it, but i doubt that what you are talking about.

Im not mad, i gave a situation and asked a question about it. Get laughed at for trying to help someone out.......just drop this aprt of the convo right here.
Now, thank you Jayson, if you can find that how-to post it, i might try that then. I noticed what you are talking about that it is capable of being done. There were three holes on the socket and only 2 of them had wire in it.
