to follow your pictures kwhauck here are some with my coilovers set low but the wheels are 19x8.5 34mm offset with 255/30zr19 and 1/4 in spacer in the back... I only have 1 degree of camber with almost 3,5 in drop

17 is a good size for the Alero, not big enough to be gaudy(unless it's all chrome), but not small enough to have a ton of rubber showing.

I got some custom coilovers made by selexsuspension... but I wanted to give you some details about how to get the flush look like wheel offset and wideness... at least my setup... and 19's aren't too big.. in my opinion, i was even thinking about 20's... but it's all about personnal taste....

i had some 18's and they just seem way too big.

It is not about width along, but width and offset combined. Theoretically you could run a 17x4 skinny and be flush if you could find the right offset.

I run 17x8 with a 32 offset, compared to an 8.5 width with a 34 offset, the difference in outside placement is 4mm, which is like 1/8". Really not a big deal, the biggest difference is that his tires are probably straight with his rims whereas mine might be bulged just a bit.

An 8in rim with a 30-35mm offset should be should be good, or an 8.5 with a 32-37 offset. Somewhere in there.

Not sure about stock suspension and inner tire clearance. You must remember that both of us are on custom coilovers.

Guigiulandry got his from Selex Suspension in Canada.
When I had mine I had them fabricated by Truechoice Motorsports in OH.
To be done right, they aren't cheap.

in the average of 1500$ for my basic dual piston nitrogen self-adjusting revalved shock with tein springs, but the shock stiffness isn't adjustable, the height is adjustable. but really they did a perfect job it's not too stiff and i got just enough travel not to rub unless i hit some big bumps... still need to roll the rear fender..... i installed those wheels also on the stock shock with eibach springs no problem in the front but close (2mm) but like I said i needed a 1/4 spacer in the back that i kept afterward to keep the flush look
