2001 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 OHV oil change

Just what to get everybody's option on how I did it::

OK So I pulled the plug and drained the oil, blah blah blah.

The oil filter is actually on the left side of the engine (closest to the firewall in a transverse car) and almost in the middle of the bay, and right over the transaxle housing and flex pipe

So I reached down from the top and popped off the filterand I put a large piece of cardboard over the flex pipe. When I got the filter off, I turned it "bottom's up" and spilled very little oil.

Then I put in the 4 quarts it said in the manual.

It said 4 quarts in engine crankcase, just thinking of it now as I type, did I need a 5th quart with the filter change?
