Pulley or Belt???

Got a squeak that goes away for a short time when I hit it with belt dressing but it comes back within a couple of minutes. Goes away most of the time after I drive awhile. Belt or pulley? Anybody ever had this problem before? I have the 3.4 V-6. Thanks guys.

That's kinda what I was thinkin. It's been awhile since I replaced it. Would a belt be noisy when you first start it and then quieten down after it warms up?

Yeah, that can happen. Look at the belt and if you can see cracks in the belt or it looks worn, replace it soon so that other parts are not effected when it breaks.

I had a squeak, and my tensioner pulley ended up melting around the bolt. Glad I was in my driveway when I smelled it! its probably the belt, but I would check the pulley for play and grinding.
