Cleaning Carpet

I want to pull my carpet out the car to give it a really good cleaning. What all has to come out to pull it out? Front seats and center console for sure. What about the back seats?

Thanks,
Timothy

Why would you have to pull it out of the car to clean it?

I would just pull the seats out to get under there properly. Ya know, all that fast food and junk that everyone eats in the car, and for all you Cananadiens that spilled beer. Otherwise leave it alone, you'll just create more problems for yourself.

Oldsnut gots it. Lots of fast food in the car. But I do throw everything onto the back floor and things leak. I would just much rather pull it all out and give it a really good cleaning.

It not very hard to take out. The carpet doesn't even go up under the back seat.

The carpeting DOES get cleaner if you can take it out. The aftermarket carpeting isn't nearly as good as the original either. A friend of mine likes to use the Bleech White cleaner for the tires on it, but I've never done it myself.

Ok well I did quite a bit of searching and I could not find anyone that sell black carpet for an alero. I was thinking about getting the darkest I can find and have it profesionaly dyed black. But that will be awhile, was just hoping I could just buy it.

I use a warm solution of OxiClean and spot clean with Folex. I have also gotten great results with using a 6:1 dilution of water and Woolite for both spot cleaning and general upholstery cleaning.

These are a few pics of some (probably) coffee that was spilled before I got my car in January, that the dealership "should" have cleaned up before I picked up the car, but I won't go there.

This was done with just Folex. I didn't have time to go over it again with any Oxi mix, but you can see a big difference just with the Folex.
