Unhappy power steering return hose failing for the 4th time

in about roughly 7,000 miles, i have been through 3 return hoses and the current one is leaking bad the steering gear itself is new along with the pressure hose. i always bled the air properly from the system. does anyone know whats going on?

Poor quality hose? Not hooked up right? Using stock style clamps and not worm type?

Are you sure it's the hose and where is it "failing"

i've used two different brands now, it usually fails where the rubber meets the steel part. i've even tryed just using different clamps. i also tryed adding an extra clamp. didn't work.

Isn't the hose threaded into the pump?

I never did a PS pump on an Alero, just old school GM cars and the hoses were threaded into the pump and the steering box

it's threaded on the steering gear and clamp on the resevoir, the pressure is hose is threaded at both ends.

Sounds like you might have a bad engine mount or something because if it's failing where the rubber meets the steel means it has way too much play there.
