Hood Peeling / Suspension Problems
Hood Peeling, i took my car through a car wash ( not touchless ) and now there is a 1/2" by 4" peel that came off right about where the hood release is, and two smaller peices on the edge as well, ive noticed that the hood underneath is mostly rusted or seperated and its causing the seam to crack or lift off the top on the edge of my hood, there are other parts that are starting to fall off because of the cracks and im wondering what to do to stop it or fix it, its chiped all the way down to the gray.
Suspension problems, when i got my eibachs and rotors put on and my alignment done i noticed that there was a clicking after most bumps i hit in the road, i went back and i was told that it was just somethin in my brakes that doesnt have the silicone between something and it would be fixed when i get new pads, is this guy a shoemaker or what?
any help or input is greatly appreciated.

no my cars midnight blue, alot of aleros do it, i called a gm dealership and gave them my vin # and they said theres no recall or callback or anything. if you ask me i think its bullshit because ive seen alot of alero with the exact problem, i should be able to open my well taken care of aleros hood without ripping off paint.

What year are your cars??? GM has had paint problems in the past. ( I know from experience) It needs to be addressed early if it is to be resolved especially if it's widespread.

I had a 99 and no paint problems other rock chips.
The clicking noise maybe your springs trying to settle.

the springs have been on for about 5 months, and mines an 01, anyone think gm will do anything about it? or should i just sand it down to make sure it doesnt spread or crack further and then get it touched up?

Hard to say...(They) recommend that you sand it and use some primer but I am not a paint guy...I have my brother in law for that. I just do metal.

nope, best bet is to sand it down. make sure there is no rust what so ever, because even if there is just a little bit and you try and paint over, it will just come back.

I have a 2000 and the paint is fine. Then again, I'm much farther south. No salty roads in the winter here.....

the clicking in your suspension could be your strut mounts, it doesnt affect the vehicle, its just annoying, mine does it too. I should replace mine soon.
