They still weight more. The amount of structural bracing to keep the car rigid weighs alot.

Yeah, ven the Corvette convertible curb weight is 5 pounds more than a coupe.

sorry guys to be a thread jesus.. but been lookin at the Sherwood Dash kits in Brushed Aluminum... to anybody who has their dash kits.. are they good quality ?

Unless its genuine brushed aluminum, it is probably going to just be a sticker, and well, brushed aluminum sticker, I dont know how good thatll look. Fitment looks fine though. I think sherwood is the kit Ion has, only his is genuine carbon fiber.

i spoke to the guy two days ago.. its brushed aluminum with a clearcoat on it with 3M backing on it
