there's no such thing as baller on a budget. either you get good stuff or you get cheap stuff. Cruise the Bazaar section for stuff that's for sale from other members. Also, check the aleromod front page for site sponsors. I'm fairly sure that all of the companies that sponsor this site offer brakes (pads and rotors)

I would suggest PFYC for the pads though. The Quiet Stop pads are excellent.

try www.rockauto.com . I got some of the Akebono ProAct Ceramic pads and good rotors. I have not had any issues in the 25k they have been on. I could not use the OEM stuff. It was junk from day one.

that's quite a bit out of his range. he wants to change front and read rotors and pads for $350.

FYI: unless you want crappy brakes, expect to pay closer to $600 total for parts and labor on just rotors and pads.

I do, considering my caliper bolts were rusted shut and I have no air tools. But labor on my 4-wheel brake job was about $120. not too bad. (still more than I wanted to pay)

A braker bar would have worked to get those out. You didnt need to pay anyone.

I got it all on ebay.

whatever. they got all 4 done in the same amount of time it took me to try to get that one bolt off, so money goes towards labor. :P
