Question Question...

This might be a dumb question to ask but I'm having some trouble with it. I cant really figure out how to replace the light bulb located where the red arrow is...

in the cubby hole? you have to remove the shifter, shift bezel (plastic under shifter), radio bezel (plastic around radio) and its in there.

its easy to get to.

the shifter has a staple in the front bottom of the handle, the staple pulls out, shifter pulls up, shift bezel pulls up, radio bezel pulls out toward the seats. make sure you disconnect the harnesses too.

That's what I thought, but is there any other way of doing it? I'm afraid of braking something if I start taking everything apart

it would be REALLY hard to break anything. it just all pops into place and pulls out rather easily.

and no... there is no other way.

it wouldnt be that hard to break something. i did. the radio bezel has clips all around it, and if you just yank, it could crack, especially where its thinner up at the top part. just take your time and go slowly. should pop out pretty easily.

paradigm9 is an unknown quantity at this point
i was able to get down on the floor from the drivres side and reach my arm in there and pull the bulb and socket out to replace, its kinda tricky because the socket has tabs on it that need to be pulled out to get it out of the hole it sits in but was not that bad

don't use pliers. the bulb tends to explode into a shower of broken glass.

i had the same problem with some small bulbs. everything was too slippery to get a grip too- what worked for me was the stuff you put on the surface of like kitchen cabinets and drawers. worked like a charm.

Well upon further investigation, I believe this light is hardwired into its wiring or the harness

the gray clip you see there doesn't do anything from what I've seen, it just like un-clips. And the bulb doesn't twist out at all, I've tried that too
