black door thing
hey guys. there is a black shiny panel 'thing' on the alero doors, rear of the windows. what i need to know is.. are they the same from 4 door alero to 2 door alero?
this is what im talkin about
this car is a 4 door (obviously)
mine is a 2 door
i know how to take them off, so thats not a problem, the q is...
will it fit?

I forget offhand what it's called, but call it the wrong thing and bdyman will surely correct you. and no, they are not cross-compatible. 2-doors only fit on 2-doors; and 4 only on 4. However, the Alero uses the same doors as the 1999-2005 Grand Am, so if you are looking to replace them, you can look for those too.

ok.. thats what i needed.. and idk if its called a pillar post.. that sounds structural. this piece is not structural. its plastic, held on by 2 screws, double sided sticky tape, and weather stripping.

anybody got a how-to remove them?
some idiot tried spray painting over the rust before i got it and it looks god awful
