This unit is a double dint, so it wont directly fit into our dash.

Pretty much nothing fits in our car stock. You will need to trim most of the plastic out the back. Also make a custom fit kit.

If you want that radio, I can get it. pm me for price.

not to hijack the thread. I got the cd w/ cassette tape stock radio, thats not double din? I was thinking of putting the DVD touch screen in my 2000 alero. BTW Ryan when I get the money and ready to get some audio stuff I'll be pm'ing you or send you a pm on your forum for some prices.

Meaning there is no kit you just toss in and its done. You will have to figure out how to solid mount the unit to the car.

Then you will have to grind the stock factory radio bezel to fit.

Probably have to grind the plastic from behind the radio also. Makes for a MUCH easier install if you do.

I didnt do it so I cant comment.

If I was going to do it, I would get some aluminum flat stock. Bend and drill as needed.

There's a double din fit kit made that will bolt in the Alero, I got one for my mom's truck that has the same mounting as the Alero.
