M-62 on a LD9
I was over on jbody.org and from what I reading it seemed like someone had put a M-62 on a 99 or newer grand am. I guess he had a M-45 (like I have on the alero) and figured out how to swap to the M-62. I know anything can be done but, does anyone know about this?

Shouldnt be that bad if its just getting the manifold and then putting the blower on. This is something that I am looking into for when I rebuild the motor years down the road. I really need to get more info because I am ready to place my order for my boost cams!

BTW this guy when he get his stuff ready to sell wants $800 for the manifold and $1200 for the manifold set up for meth injection & direct port nitrous and stuff.
Plus you need to buy the M62 supercharger used on the LSJ. And the M45 kit first.

In short from what I have read (I didnt read it all yet cause its too dam long) you will use the brackets from the gm charger, then need to buy the manifold, and charger.
so here's the breakdown on pricing.
the manifold alone will be 850.
for the alchy injection bung in the plenum add 25
for direct port nitrous bungs add 100 (includes all 4)
for the intercooler setup add 150
or 1100 for the whole 9 yards
I just need to know the part # for the charger for price, what gen, and ect... (they say to get a rebuilt one off e-bay but, I want to know how much they are new.)

ok so $1100 + $1500-$1900 + $500-$700 = $3100 approx. for what 12 lbs of boost.that is very steep. 8lbs achievable out of the m45 for what $2000.
makes a turbo much more apeeling.

Couldn't an adapter plate be made to adapt the LSJ manifold onto the 2.4 and just use it like that?!? Then you'd have an intercooler too...
That J-Body link doesn't work for me for some reason...

Yeah that's what I thought the original plan was, but now I guess he's going to make it from scratch and make more money
