Question Service Vehicle Soon Light

My Service Vehicle Soon light comes on lately and goes away on its own. Very strange because i've had the check engine light come on and it stays on untill the problem is fixed. My question is has anyone got any ideas as to why the Service Vehicle Soon light goes on for about a day and then doesnt come back on for about a week and goes away again? Is there a scan tool i could buy that tells what it means? i got the OBDII scanner but seems that is only for check engine light.

thanks
Jordan

It could be something worse...mine did it when my torque convertor went bad...it'd be on for a day, then off for a week or so...it'd only come on when it would see a problem...like a minor slippage, then after working properly so many times it would go back off.

Im late to answer
SES - SErvice engine Soon - Engine/transmission/emission control device failure detected

SVS - Service Vehicle soon - ABS/HVAC/radiobody control malfunction, the problem could be lighting trac control airbag or other things not related to SES.

SVS code should be Cxxx, or Bxxx

I've got this light coming on in my vehicle. I noticed recently that my interior lights won't come on automatically with the headlights when its dark in the morning, but they work with the switch. Also, when I use my remote to unlock the doors, the lights don't flash anymore. Any ideas? No, I haven't checked the fuses yet, that will be after work today.

K, did some searching and I think I might know what the problem is. I installed some orange LEDs in the front corners, in anticipation of clearing them. Would that blow a fuse? They have resistors built into them, so I don't think they would be drawing too much current, would they?

yes something wrong with your car that is not in your engine/tranny/sensors will blow the SVS light, if you leave a headlight unplugged or something this light will be on, and yes you will throw SVS light for LED blinkers if you dont wire them properly

The LED blinkers that I installed were just plug-ins. They weren't supposed to require a ballast resistor or anything. They worked fine for over a month, and they still work when I use the turn signals.

Then its not the LEDs..I have the plug in LED's in my tails and they have been there for 3yrs and the only effect they have is the fast blinking..which I like. There is a whole lot more going on here. LED's draw very little current, hence the resistors in them so that they don't cook. IDK...maybe the light sensor is going bad?
