Did i waste my money?

Is this for real? Cause im going to be beyond mad if i paid 4 times as much for my kicker system with less than half the power that this combo puts out. My friend is looking at this.

Plus it comes with four gauge amp wires for that much power just doesn't seem right

Boss vs Kicker.. are you serious? I've seen off brands claiming all kinds of things but I'd much rather buy a brand with a proven track record. Don't beat urself up bro lol. Like being mad you bought a Ferrari instead of some VW someone dropped a v8 in.

Let your friend buy it so you can point and laugh at him when it blows up. Cleary he doesnt know good subs when he just chooses high power with a cheap name brand for a cheap cost.

I agree, my very first sub was a pyle (i was much younger and uneducated) claiming 1200 RMS, no lol. But if those specs are legit thats a monumental savings. Granted the quality durability and reliability might not hold true like a kicker, i guess ill just have to wait and find out when i put em in.

Well thats just it he doesn know, he asked me what size capacitor to get for it i told him dont bother , even if those really are pushing those numbers just do the Big 3 Upgrade instead and get 0 gauge wire , not 4. Im sure wih a properly tuned amp though, they should do fine for him

We should start a pool to see how long it is before he blows em up lol. Don't forget to tell him to break em in.

....3 months lol.I never understood that tho. how you suppose to break them in when you have to blast them anyway to set your gain after install. Kinda contradicting

I never broke in my kickers. Brand new. Tuned em and beat em hard. All though I would let em hit on low volume for about 15 min before I blast it so they basically warm up.

Please don't buy these, that amp probably puts out 400W rms total. Also, good luck with it in the summer heat, most likely going to catch on fire or constantly enter protect mode if it even has that. Kicker is a way better brand than boss will ever be.

For the break-in period, have your gains tuned a bit lower and don't just blast the music immediately. I have been using my sub for 2 months and I think it's almost broken in, but occasionally I smell the coil from intense use, but it's normal for certain brands.

I never had anyone explain anything to me either. I put mine in and pounded them hard... ten years later and they still kick hard as new!

I have two Kicker CVR 12 inch subs and i never broke them in the right amount of gain and bass and they sound amazing. My buddy had boss subs and they lasted a week.
