I am thinking about getting a 10 inch 250 watt rms Infinity sub and powering it with this profile amp.

I am wondering how it will sound with the factory speakers (non monsoon).

I wanted to get some components for the doors (75 watt rms Infinitys) but I don't think that amp can power the components plus the sub, and a second amp isn't in my immediate budget.

So, opinions/experiences?

I had 2 12" rockfords with my stock speakers, and it sounded just fine.

My single 150watt sub sometimes overpowers my stock speakers. I really need more powerful speakers. It depends on what music I listen to though, Rap sounds like the crap it is but rock/ alternative actually sounds balanced.

And don't leave dynomat/ frostking (alternative) out of your budget.

if 150 sometimes overpowered yours, I think 250 def would.

I don't know that I necessarily need to run 250 watts though either. I'm not looking for earth shattering bass, I want some good SQ is all. I think it would be best to have the max available, and be able to turn the power down...

For sub control you definitely want a non-stock HU. Definitely.

My two 12's are like 250 rms. Runnin a 444watt 4 channel amp to them,
With my kenwood deck. And they weren't over powering them. I could only go so loud tho, because one of the stockers was blown and would start popping.

I had stock speakers (non monsoon) with my dual 12"s for a longtime and it sounded fine. Just turn ur trebble up and keep bass at zero inside the car, so your stocks can focus on mids and highs as best they can, and then boost your bass at your amp, it should sound just fine

yo it will sound fine, but y are you getting that amp? 80Wx4?, get a mono amp for your subs, then get that profile amp for the inside speakers if your getting components

I'm on a tight budget, and 2 amps will definitly put me out.

One other question, say I go with that profile amp. If i bridge 225 to the sub and run 80 to the stock 4x6's, I know they will blow.

Would it be possible to amp those with the gain very low so they don't blow, and I can get a little more out of them until I move to components?
