Another FL Greenhorn

Hey all, I've been on here a few times just never had any money or motivation to do any work on my car. Well, I think the time has finally come. I stopped going to school and I'm just working now... so I've got free time and money. My whip in now a WIP (work in progress). I'll get some pics up tomorrow of my 01' Alero Coupe (yes its white).

Quick question though, I am looking to paint my interior this weekend and I was just wondering if you guys could send some tips my way on how to do it. I know how to take all the parts off but do I need to sand them? I plan on priming them. And do I need a clearcoat as well?

Thanks for everything and all the welcomes (warm or cold)

The gurus will give you a virtual slap in the face if you paint your interior.

I would sand the parts down. I have heard that clear coat on interior plastic will start to chip and flake off. I painted my speedo cluster bezel and clear coated it about 10 months ago and haven't had any problems with flaking.

from what Ive seen, painting interior parts a dark color will look better than painting them a bright one like White or Teal.

Many ppl over here have painted their interior and have bought used interior part after to bring it back to stock. I would only get the Carbon fiber dash kit from ebay.
