So my window regulator decides to take a crap the other day. I took my door panel off to see how bad it was and where it broke, it also broke off the white tab thats connected to the window. Has anyone tried using like 2 part epoxy to glue that white tab back to where it broke off on the window? The part that is still on the window looks like it is held on by epoxy or somethin so I don't imagine it coming off very easily and I really dont wanna spend the money for new glass.

if that's your only issue, then I think you should give it a try. If there are any parts that are actually broken, though, I suggest replacing them. Cruise eBay. They're always on there (except if it's the right rear passenger window on a 4-door...hmmph)

it has happened to me twice. first time i had to buy a new regulator just to get a new one of those white clips. but a month or two ago, after i talked to the parts rep from Olds, i found out that the part has just become available for purchase. i've tried epoxy on them an it never holds too long. the clip is about $14 and extremely easy to install. i recommend a new clip. don't chance breaking the window.

dont know what your talking about but if its those little clips on the window that keep it in tract my passenger one just broke. must be for at least the second time because someone tryed glueing it but it didnt hold so im getting a new window from a salvage yard.

^ try getting just the parts that are broken. good glass at a wreck yard might be more expensive than you need to pay.

Just bought the white clip and attached it to the cable... now I can't get the cable threaded back onto the wheel (one at the top and bottom of each guide). Not sure if the motor is actually bad or if I need a wench or something to get the cable on 'track'? or if there is some trick...

Did you guys have any luck?

Thomas
