The gas mileage thread

This just in, my cars getting 26.8 mpg.

I filled up the tank, reset the trip counter. At next fill up, used that volume per distance to get the score.

16.7 mpg, city, 2001 GL Sedan, 2.4.

Which is really bad...especially when the gas price is sky high now~!!! My friend was so surprized the mileage was so bad... >.<

But still I love my Alero since it's my 1st car~!! LOL~

get an oil change, clean/replace your air filter, make sure your tires are properly inflated. should see the mileage go up over 20 mpg then...

I agree. I'm due for an oil change and I'm going to get the fuel filter changed at the same time. Ill let you know the results.

I was lucky when i had my ho...was getting 28 city 37-42 highway...absolute anomaly

I'd get about 28-30 hwy with my 2.4 at 70mph. Around 18 city if i drove nice. Now I get 18 hwy tops in the summer, 15 in winter, so dnt complain
