I just installed an AEM short Ram Intake for my 2001 2.4 Alero. Will a cold air intake do more, or give me more power? If so, is there anyway of getting an AEM cold air intake?[/size]

you'd probably need to make your own. and, i doubt you will see any difference in a cold air from your warm air.

and please don't change the font, that's kind of annoying

to quote AlbinoMonkeyRat.....the search button is your friend.

However, to make a short story long, Warm Air Intake is great for low-end thru midrange, and a CAI is good for midrange to upper.

I had a CAI and switched back to a WAI because I do most of my driving in the city and would rather have more power on the low end.

yeah, user preference, basically. I kinda like the low-end punch also, but since I wind long through the gears, for me it's better on upper end.

AlbinoMonkeyRat is on a distinguished road
before I got my camaro muffler, my short ram/wai was better for the mid-upper rpms. Then again, I left my stock plastic tubing in there (between the headlight and the stock box) so I suck up cold air in the higher rpms anyway.

after I got the muffler, there was a noticeable increase in torque in the whole range and an increase in lower-end power.

If all goes to plan, I should be able to tell you how things go with cams and a header later on this year.

in short, there is little-to-no difference in the performance between a short ram and a cai.
