for every dumb @$$ little thing that breaks or even big thing that breaks there is a way to fix it some way or another. especially on an n-body, too much crap breaks too often... lol.

yeah but this is engine stuff.... I really don't think there is a way to fix it without paying someone a lot of money to do...

yeah, but I can't figure out how you broke your freaking tensioner.. it's supposed to withstand some wrenching because the assembly moves. did you try torquing the wrong direction? what directions were these from; what were you doing?

^ wouldn't torqueing the wrong direction be loosening it?
Just find someone with an easyout and hopefully that works.

no no no... The tensioner is fine, the threads where the bolt screws into the motor broke. there's nothing wrong with the tensioner other than it can't be attatched to the car now cause the bolt won't tighten.

Drill it out and use an easy out.

probably used foot lbs. rather than inch lbs. or else it would have been fine

It was inch pounds.... I barely turned it too.... which makes me wonder if it was going to happen no matter what..... Is it fixable though????
