I'm buying another 3400 engine!
so this guy is cleaning out his garage, and he's selling a 3400 that came out of a 2003 grand am GT. the only thing wrong with it is a blown head gasket! and he's selling it for 50-75 bucks, he just wants to get it out of the way. i'm thinking of cleaning it up and swapping in some parts, especially the UIM, since the 2003 one is going to be a lot better than my 1999. and then i'll have a bunch of parts for core parts but yeah, had to tell you guys... i'm excited

haha i mean all the seats fold down, but i guess i've just never seen how big this engine is, and i don't know how fragile it is and if i can just throw it(not literally of course) in the back and go hahaha.

BAHA gotta find a job to fund that project first.
question.. do i need anything special to transport the engine back down to bloomington? i mean obviously i'll be driving the family's trailblazer to get it, but will i need to hook a trailer up or anything?

thanks! i figured if anything that's even cheaper than core prices i would be charged for getting things ported and whatnot. because my car is my DD and i can't go without it for a week.

Now I'm really worried!
- Notice the missing [a] don't know what that means but it seems relevant.
- Notice the ooo on good stressing the obvious yet with such stalkerish characteristics.

you're right! and it's 75 i guess. he had it listed for both prices, but 75 was his latest price. but to rent an engine hoist (he said he just got rid of his not too long ago) it costs 35 i'm hoping i can just bring some manpower to lift it haha. and yes, now i have something fun to do! hopefully i can get it into our big garage so it can be at least a little warmer..

time for all new internals and 250+ HP
CONGRATS on an amazing deal!
The transport issue..... if you have access to a trailer then use it. It will be a lot easier to load/unload. Just strap the engine down and your all good. One of my sisters used to have a trailblazer and i dont think it would be a problem to fit the 3400 in the back. just make sure if you put it in the back that its strapped down so it doesnt fall over and break shit. lol

Damn girl, that's a great find! Wish I could find a deal like that! That's the kind of thing you want to keep in one piece and re-build. Maybe do a 5-speed swap or something. I'm jealous...
