Just another newbie :D
Hey guys (and gals if any),
The name is Dustin, and I am (you guessed it) an Alero owner! Her name is Ally, and she is a lonely little GX Coupe born in 2004. She houses a 2.2L 5-speed Ecotec engine.
I've had her for a few months now, and I love her! She is my second car, the first being a 2001 Ford Focus. I had the Focus for 2 weeks, until one fateful morning when an elderly neighbor of mine hit it whilst she was parked on the street, and I, asleep. I felt bad for him, as he is 91 and was on his way to church. Needless to say, he did a number and she was written off by the insurance company.
You would think my heart would be broken after such an incident, but really, it was the greatest thing that has happened to me to date! For you see, my hatred of Ford knows no boundaries. I was going to run it until the very demons of my soul brutally escaped, and drive it into oblivion.
Out of the glory that was this accident, came more glory! For you see, I purchased my Alero, with a mere 100,000 kilometers to boot! Mind you, my insurance company was not pleased with their new client of 2 weeks. And that brings me here, to all of you, members of Aleromod. And dare I even say...family?

Welcome! I know what you mean about the accident being a good thing.....i had my Taurus (first car) for a couple weeks and someone ran a red light and hit me. I got 6k for it and bought my first alero off my mom....MUCH better than the old man Taurus. This is a great site with some great people....what mods do you have in store for her?

BTW you should come to A.S.S.!!! Last one ever and we need a good turn out! I think there are a couple people coming from Canada so you might be able to meet up with them and caravan there. The more the merrier

Well, I see that clearing the corners is a popular thing, so this is certainly a good possibility. As soon as April rolls around I want to paint the brake calipers and the engine, as well as get new plugs to match. I've been shadowing the site for a little while, and I am definitely going to try out some of the plasti dip!

Current mods include: Freshly cleaned car (shampooed the seats, mats, floor, truck, and everything!), a Jerry-rigged Sony X-plode deck (did not go as planned), new steel rims for the winter, and brand new Wanli Winter Challenger Tires. In short, nothing haha.

You should definitely come to ASS. It's in Lansing Michigan... I would assume it's only about a 6 or so hour drive from you, since you're closer to NY.

BTW, there's nothing better than insurance money. That's what bought my 94 Cutlass Supreme Vert!
