is this a passlock issue?

car wouldn't start up again after i made a stop.

wasn't the battery, fuel pump/amt, all the usual problems.

had it taken to the mechanic who told me to crank it and leave the key in for 10min, whereupon it should start. because of the advice in recent threads, it sounds like a passlock prob.

he couldn't tell me what caused it or how to prevent it.

anyone know how to fix this?

thnks

If your security light was flashing when the key was turned to the "on" position then yes it was more than likely passlock.

mines doing this also. More and more. Is it possible to just replace the Passlock module on the back of the cylinder? Or is it all one piece

Try getting a fresh cut key before you spend all that money to replace the passlock crap.
