Drum Cleaning

Guys, I have a friend that was told by her dealer that she needed to have her rear drums cleaned... is that normal?

Drum as in brake drum?

Never heard of anyone cleaning it. Do you mean resurfacing? If so just get new one, they are cheap.

i cleaned mine out. just pull the drum off, and spay the crap out of the brakes under it, with brake cleaner. pretty easy.

yea its probably full of brake dust shit and i guess they are sticky/extremely touchy. just pull of the drums and use a crap load of brake parts cleaner
