Cold Air Intake Question? Cavalier or Alero

I have a 2.4 alero with 5 speed trans, and was wanting to put a cold air intake on it. I have found this one on ebay, however it is for a 2.4 cavalier same year and it is a wai but advertised as cai, I was wondering do you think it will work??I know I will have to seal the current iat hole on it and drill a new one but mounting is my main concern. Any one tried this? Do you think this one will work? I will be using a diff filter cause this one is crummy, but the pipe is the main reason im buying it and because it is cheap. Thanks

if not you can make it work. its not hard a kit is not neccessary just easier
cause all you need is pipes, clamps connecters and a filter

OptionRacing make a cold air intake for the 2.4L cavalier its about the same price, and its actually a CAI.

Yea I wanted to kinda stick with a WAI after some of the reviews i read on cai vs wai. So will any 2.4l cavalier intake work with an alero 2.4?

Ok sweet, just bought it. I read cai vs wai and the debate is endless. However some guy made a wai that warmed his intake through his exhaust heat and recorded a higher mpg without no power loss. He said full open throttle= cai is the way to go however is throttle is readily applied=wai will give you car more power. I found that really interesting. Everyone has there own opinion though! thanks alot for the advice guys!

To make an actual "Cold air intake"....which removes all the plastic stuff....you get the WAI from a Twin Cam and the Cold air intake from a 3400 engine and put them together....AND you have a cold air intake system.
