Here's the deal guys... my 2000 Alero GL 2.4 while driving it makes a sound like the turn signal is on... When I hit the dash board above the 4 way flasher button it goes away but then my 4 ways and turn signals stop working. I looked in the fuse box and under the hood n the relay box but cannot locate a flasher relay is it behind the switch in the dash or is there one not even there? What is causing this problem? Also my seat belt light flashes while driving the car, don't know what the issue is there either. HELP ME !!

Well I called the dealer today, the recall has been done already and the unit is messed up again. I have to buy a new flasher...How do you take the damned thing out of the dash?

Yeah, I tried just picking up mine and they wouldn't give it to me. They had to install it.

I got a letter in the mail a few weeks ago from Olds about the hazard switch. It said that you could take it to the dealership to get it fixed free of charge, or you could get reimbursed if you get it fixed at another shop (if they approve of the charges).

I just started having the same issue last week, but haven't received any letter from GM about the recall to fix this issue. I've got to check with a local dealer tommrow to get this fixed.
