amp cutting out

ok im running this sub with this amp...the ? i have is that ill have em running for about 30 min of some wat heavy beats. after that it will start to cut out on me on the deeper beats...so i was wondering if a cap would take that cutting out away or if its just the amp over heating and cutting out.....and yes i checked all the connections and i jave good clean connections all around.

cant really understand you but i think the car would shut off if you needed a cap THAT badly that it wasnt even playing the note

Its possible it could be going into protection.

How are the gains set?

Also it may be shutting down due to lack of current.

I believe the car will run all the way down to 10.5Volts before the ignition cant function properly.

Once your using 125% of your alt, it starts to burn the brushes... Be careful. At your rate, the cap will probably jsut be another strain on the alternator.

see its not really strain the alt...i turned the lights on and a bunch of other stuff and not really seeing a dimming or n e thing that shows a sign of it straining the alt

how many ohms did you step down to....2 ohm? 1 ohm? Don't know too much about the amp, but if you have it dopped down real low the amp might not be able to handle the power....My audiobahn amp is only rated at 2 ohm, and anything lower basically the specs are, "go screw yourself cuz you aint getting that much from a low priced amp without blowing up"

if you only have that one sub and a 2 channel amp, then you are running your amp at 8 ohm if hooked up right....you are really underpowering that system....all hell will break loose if that is your set up....if that is, you might want to think about getting a new sub or amp...

Why would all hell break loose if he was running his sub @ 8 Ohms?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, other than the fact he would cut his power in about half.

I dont have adobe installed on this computer currently, so I cant view the product manual. If the manual reflects the specifications listed, the amp can NOT be run bridged @ 2 Ohm. I find it hard to believe, but given the information present thats what its looking like. However the manual may reveal the truth. I am surprised it cant not handle a bridged 2 Ohm load...

So thats more than likely the problem.

If your amp is running too hot it will shut down, where is it mounted?

ya i ran the wiring in a parallel...so the amp is seeing 2 ohms from the sub....but im just gonna wire it in independent tomm. and see if that works for now

edit: figured sum stuff out
i just did sum looking around and checked my wiring.....ok i have that sub which is 500w RMS and 1500w Peak DVC 4 Ohms.... i looked at the PVC that came with amp and it saying 232x2 @ 4 ohms,375x2 @ 2 Ohms, 750x1 @ 4 Ohms so i ran my sub in a series for the coils so its drops it to a 2 Ohm load but then i bridge the amp so now its a 4 ohms load....so im trying to figure out is y my amp is working so hard to get the power when the sub can only handle 500w RMS when amp is putting out 750w RMS

umm i have sum wat good airflow to it....but after about 30 min. of it running it will start to overheat and shut down on me.....n e ideas???

dude you can't just wired your sub to 2ohms and then bridge the amp, and expect it to be 4ohms. It's impossible to wire one dvc 4 ohm sub to 4 ohms. Your wiring is too low for the amp, and it is overheating. If you don't watch it your gonna blow the amp.

ya but bridging it will double the resistance which will take the 2 ohm load and make it a 4 ohm load
