Fogs tied in with low beams.

Today I put some fog lights on my Park Ave, but me being the lazy person I was I wired the + in with the + for one of my low beam bulbs.
Stupid.
2 blocks later it flicked off and popped the fuse for that light.

So basically I need to know if I should go to a bigger amp fuse (if so, what?), or should I just bite the bullet and do some extra wiring to put the fogs on a relay?

Put them on a relay and use the wire from the headlights to trigger the relay. Putting in a bigger fuse is just asking for trouble.
