GI: Want to run REAL Corvette brakes?

I'm just trying to get an idea of if anyone would be interested in some adapter brackets so that they could run a complete genuine Corvette brake setup. The swap that I had before was using F-Body components. With the Corvette setup you have more options on sizes of brakes which would work for performance and show if you have some big wheels!

The adapter bracket would bolt on to your stock spindle using the stock caliper mounts. A genuine Corvette C5/C6 caliper bracket (or the caliper if using a Z06 setup) would then bolt to the adapter. What this means is that you can choose from many of the available stock or aftermarket setups available for the C5/C6.

Just with the stock setup you have choices of:

C5(all) C6 (base) 12.8" rotor. These rotors are directional. The vanes inside of them are curved for better cooling!

C6 Z51 - 13.4" rotor using the same caliper as the 12.8" setup.

C6 Z06 - 14.0" and the massive 6-piston calipers.

It may even be possible to get a extended bracket to be able to use the 2-piston caliper with the 14.0" rotor. That way you don't have to worry about wheel clearance!

I have no hard idea on what the price would be for these brackets right now, I would have the range (depending on the number of people that want them) at from $100 to $300. I am working with a local machinist who has done brake adapters before. I will have a better idea once he sees the whole setup.
