no radio on accessory

just wondering if anyone has had a problem with this
2001 gs
stock radio when i turn on the acc position all that works is the wipers

i just had a 2001 grand am in the shop and the radio and wipers turn on with acc turned on

we have a customer here and hes complaining because we had installed a remote starter and hes trying to blame the problem on us,

then i noticed my car does it as well, so i am assuming its a common thing..

also when i turn the key slowly it blips the radio on for a second but i cant keep it on.

just curious any help is appreciated
