ok ok since everyone here convinced me not to get a new PCM, i guess i'll get an intake and a 62 mm TB. trouble is i dont know exactly which intake to get, alot of you are saying i should get a WAI over a CAI, i myself could care less what kind of intake to get as long as i can get alot better air flow, so i am asking all of you to give me some hints on which brand of WAI or CAI i should get, because ive noticed DS has a stake 1,2, and 3. and i cant decide. so show me your input

yea, for wai you can use pretty much any aftermarket induction for civic etc. just cut a section off of it. and all you need is couplers. be sure you get one that replaces the accordion like stock coupler.

and you can cut it with a hacksaw, that's fine, i used a dremel with cutting attachment.

It depends on what you want to do.
If you just want an intake, and are not planing on racing the car, a WAI or the Civic WAI and making it into a CAI of the Alero will be fine, but if your going to be racing the car in the future, go with a stage 3 CAI. This way you get rid of that accrodin piece right before your TB.
Plus with a DS CAI, you can make it into a WAI with just removing the elbow

What are over the hoses?
Are they silcone hoses or wire looms?

lol you guys are giving me mixed opinions i'll just wait till naich can get back on track with his intakes. i guess a cai would be good, but since its becoming winter now, that means its gonna rain alot more. so turning a CAI by removing that elbow would be a nice feature to have

i'm telling you now man, its ALL personal preference.
i get better low end power (that's 90% of the power i use everyday) and better gas mileage with WAI. and no rain worries.
i've had both, and those are the only differences.
