FOR 3400SFI Applications
1. Disconnect negative battery terminal
2. Remove battery hold down bolt so battery can be moved later. (Battery does not need to be removed from car)
3. Remove all stock intake tubing and air filter box from under the hood.
4. Remove MAF filter from the air filter box and carefully set the MAF aside.
5. Jack up the driver's side, front corner of the car and support it with jack stands. Then remove the front driver's side tire.
6. Remove the wheel well liner that runs along the front of the wheel well and under the front bumper.
7. Remove all intake tubing from inside the wheel well. One of the bolts up behind the headlight is rather difficult to remove. Removing the driver's side headlight may make it easier. If you can get your arm up there, it is possible to do this without removing the headlight though.
8. Next, install the silicon connectors to both sides of the MAF, making sure the connector with the grommets is on the throttle body side of the MAF. Then install the connector to the throttle body. (not sure what is ment by this, but just make sure that the sensors are next to the throttle body)
9. Connect the short pipe to the other side of the MAF.
10. Now, take the long piece of pipe with a 45º bend in it and connect a silicon connector to one end. Then slide the other end through the hole beside the battery.
11. Using the 90º bend pipe, connect the short pipe coming from the MAF to the pipe coming through the hole by the battery.

Its so easy man, just take the old air box out, basically everything up there in those directions, but its not hard at all, but make sure when u put the clips that hold the peices of the intake together that u put them on good, and make sure they are pushed in a little and even all the way around the tubing, cause u dont wanna take any risks of it coming loose. The only think that u will find a pain in the ass when putting in a CAI from DOCTORSPEED, is that when u have to put the sensors back in the tubing the effin rubber peice around the hole always falls in, so u have to hold the other side of the little rubber peice so it doesnt fall in. that was a pain in the ass, but everything else went smooth. Oh and make sure ur filter isnt pushed up against the sidewall, give it a little room. U will be happy with the results, it really sounds nice when ur going slow(10mph) and then u step on it.lol

Yeah i went out for a good test drive. Sounds nice when step on it. Your right, the only thing that I had alittle trouble with is that damn rubber piece. All in all its was fine. I didnt disconnect the battery like said above though. Should I have done that?

Doesnt really matter if u took the battery out or not, but dude, u should get another little metal peice to put where that rubber part is.

can someone find a link to buy that shorter metal piece like on ebay or something? I only paid $50 for my cai on ebay and it looks exactly the same just that mine has a metal shield that goes around the cone but is still open at the bottom.
