I was at the dealership yesterday and i saw a new 2004 Alero gls coupe. It looked nice in the steel grey but then I noticed that it had a side marker light on the fender!?!. Is this the first year or has it been around for a while and discussed before and im just a dumbass?

Might be one of those things individual dealers do to sell cars... like some add pin striping, some add faux cloth tops and call it a "diamond edition" alero, etc etc.... but take some pics, and maybe inquire what model it is.

The Alero in that photo is the "Chevrolet Alero" which is sold Europe. It comes standard with side markers. Even the clear corners are STANDARD. <_<

I don't think it's a dealer option because I've seen them up here in Canada too! They are the orange colored side markers... right?
Looks pretty sweet though....

factory clear corners are cool. factory side-markers are not.

I've seen the side markers in a dealership here too...I checked the specs and it apparently had a Euro package which was worth $1000...can't remember what else came with the package but it seemed like a rip-off to me. By the way, it is actually called a Euro Package.

Except for the clear corners and markers, that Alero is the exact same as the US, so if it was a package, then those two exterior perks are all that you get.
