you have to take the gauge cluster bezel off and then you can get to the side of the hazard switch and you should be able to reseat it and snap it back into proper positioning unless one or more of the clicks snapped on it.

You probably need a new piece then. Check at a local junk yard for one.

ARGH something similar happened to me 2 hrs ago~!!!! Sigh. But it was hilarious.....my hazard light button got "eaten" into the dashboard when I pushed it gently....so I drove home with hazard lights blinking throughout. Now they are still blinking and I don't know what to do....

You should still be able to reach it. As what gr1m said pull the gauge cluster bezel off and reach in there. I had to do it. It was a pain cause its such a small spot to put your hand in.

if you can't reach it. open the hood and pull the fuse for the hazards that way you don't kill your battery

hmm...yea it killed my battery~!!! I read about that so I tried to remove the fuse for hazard light but i was unable to pull it out? It was blocked by the big black block of carlock fuse or something. Got fed up last evening so just let the battery die.

Now waiting for AAA to come and tow my Alero to the workshop.

Initially, I wanted AAA to jump start my car, and then drive to the workshop. But, the workshop guy told me to arrange for a tow. He said a jumping start and driving with the hazard lights on will ruin and spoil the alternator, which is ~$300?

Sigh........i need to get back to my job...
