hey guys,

last year a buddy of mine and my girlfriend got me a Colorstorm underglow kit for my car, its the kit where u can guy additional tubes to attach them, nice feature to have since the longest tube is only 18" i belive. anyways, i found a thread about this kit but didnt really help me much.

my question(s) is, what is the quality of the LED set? is it bright, not so bright or utter crap?

and ive found this a big trend with this topic: plz dont post saying what kind you have and leave it as that and that regular neons are better (not in my opinion anyways) and that underglow kits are stupid and a waste of money (or anything of that sort)

any opinions would really help me out.

Cheers

i really don't mean to crap your thread what so ever but let me get this straight;

one of your buddy's and your girlfriend both put some money together and bought you this underglow kit? If i'm right so far and you do in-fact have the kit already, why are you asking us how the quality is and how bright the led is? Go outside and put it on.

If i'm wrong with any of this, please revise your words so there are more easily understood.

havent touched it yet, nor do i really want to right now.

ok, lemme re-phrase. what is the actual quality: reliable, known bugs, if people find that random LED's just go out, anything to that nature.

pics of anyone with this set would really help to. i just want to be ready for when i do install them when it starts to warm what to expect and what i can do to fix them fast, cheap and easy. thats all, and thanx for not flamming me......well not too badly anyways.

I have that kit
My 2 cents

It is an ok kit, they leds are pretty bright, but you will prob need more then they reccomend to surrond the car, if you leave a gap between strips, you WILL notice it at night with it on, also make sure they are mounted straight, slightest offset will be very noticable since LEDs have a strong focussed beam.

Also, if you show your car inside, you may need a mat or somthing to lay down if you plan on having them on, otherwise you will see the individual LEDs on the ground.

I love the options and colors the colorstorm provides, and i guess it would have to be personall preffance.
Sorry I have to pics, I actually melted the brain of it to my header (dumbass me)
I have another but I am waiting for the spring to reinstall the brain.

If you have any questions, pming me would prob be quickest way to get hold of me.

Ive had the Colorstorm pro series on my car and its feaking amazing.. It has 10 18" tubes which makes it easier to taylor to any vehicle because you can space them out and have complete coverage... But yeah 16 million colors is no false claim, it'll blow you away... the LEDS are mad bright and the whole system is pretty reliable and the remote works good... I def recomend the Colorstorm system if your into dumping money into some serious underbody lights... I'll take pics tommorow night and post them at some point

and o yeah... it seems that drunk people on St. Pattrick's day love strobing green lights in 12 different shades... to the point where they will lay on the ground looking under my car... haha
