guages on dvd player???
today i saw that one of my friends had his guages displayed on his in-dash dvd player. i asked him how he did it, but he refused to share that info with me. does anyone here know how to do it and/or what i need to do it?

oh ok, so theres no way to install that feature? it sure would make it cheaper for me instead of buying the guages.

Ive never heard of any indash dvd systems having a setting for reading gauges. The only one I know of is by AIM industries.

yeah, my buddies is a pioneer or kenwood, i really didnt pay attention cuz my A.D.D kicked in with all the colors from the guages on the display. lol.

I know the Pioneer models can show:
Voltage, Clock, Direction, Slope, Acceleration, Side Acceleration, Angular Velocity

Im pretty sure its only the AVIC models and it has to XM Navtraffic for that option

lol, im pretty sure it wasnt a dvd, cuz when he rev'd it up it showed on the guages same with the voltage and when he turned it off.
and yeah, he didnt want to share his secret. lol.

there are a few obd 2 programs that will display a dashboard on a laptop, prob build a simple in car pc or use a laptop and send the image to the indash thu the aux imput, you might be able to find some of these programs online full useable working downloads

psm scan
palmer performance
