Thank you guys very much for your continued input. Thank you for your point on the "future alero owners", it was well taken. Allow me to elaborate on my original thought. Back in the 90's the Honda Civic was known as an inexpensive, economic, family car. With the emergence of the "tuner scene" it has become the biggest slut car of all time. You can go ANYWHERE and get ANYTHING for it. Some honda owners even have the "nerve" to put down 600 horsepower. Although I understand that the honda civic is still in production and the Alero is not, the point that I was trying to itterate is that the reason that you can't find "cool guy parts" for the alero is that it hasn't yet been proven a "cool guy car". It's my oppinion that the body lines and limited production of this vehicle give it great potential to become a "rare" and sought after tuner car. Oh yeah, and it looks better than a honda too. Guess who that benefits? the guy that bought it to be an inexpensive, economic, family car.

I don't see what the specific year has to do with anything, I'm talking about a model of car, and even if you take the entire 5 year run of the Alero, the production numbers weren't as high as the civic AND it's not being made anymore = smaller market. Ha ha ha.

You miss the entire point Coldfire. They do not make a 92-95 Civic and the parts are not completely interchangable...thus they do not make that Civic anymore. The fact that the Alero is no longer made is completely irrelevant. Almost every car with an after market is no longer made. Different series=that car is no longer made! BTW, I see more Alero's on the road that almost any other car...

I think that hood would look really good, but of course that was like my first photoshop ever and it looks pretty crappy. I think a regular 96 cobra style hood would look awesome. Or even a ram air cobra hood like that. The cobra R hood is a little too aggressive looking for my taste, but it probably wouldn't be that bad.

i think the 3 hoods that look god on a alero is the cowl hood the camarrow style hood aka the yellow and black ones and a boser hood. now for me i love the look of osv kit now the problem with price i just bought a new car at least on order and my alero is my project/winter car i say try and keep it under 800 and it would screme at 600 and fitment and wavy ness is a key to it selling

my car was like that for a couple hours. I should have taken a picture of it. Looked kinda funny. hehe
If an Alero has the Z3 fenders and a body kit (read: not stock or Razzi), the Cobra hood would look alright.
the SS Scoop hood would look alright on a razzi kitted alero.
current cowl hood FTW!

You guys are making some excellent points. This is fantastic! You guys will never believe it, but I've already included the cobra hood in my "stack of ideas thus far" the other day when talking with my friend. It was among our favorite hood designs. That's great that you guys already like the idea. To address some concern on the cobra r hood being too much, I think that we're still going to go with stages, so in theory you should be able to find you're happy median somewhere between mild and wild.

Go with the cobra hood....Its by far the most unique plus the ss style hoods are played out already, you see them on too many cars.

Yeah I see alot of them up here too, that is why when we heard olds was being phased my buddy was like, "god all I see everywhere I look is alero's oldsmobile can't have been doing that badly", but if you look up NATIONWIDE the production actually was way down and found out that minnesota was #3 state for buying olds, hence why we DO see quite a few...there aren't as many of them in the world as you think, I've even heard other members of this site say that they've NEVER seen an alero besides their own, hence why I believe there is a smaller market for the alero than even a single year of the godawful civic
