just picked up a hid kit

i just picked up an hid kit for my car its an 8000k i got it on ebay for $60
heres a pic of the kit the light pics i will have up later

I have heard, people have problems with the ballests burn out on ebay kits. I got mine thru ddm tuning, it has a life time warenty and it was $100 shipped.

looks good tho, make sure you adjust the light so you dont blind people (i got flashed all the time befor I adjusted mine)

hey i baught some brite white HID bulbs thinks 7500k, it says they just plug and play,they dont come with the ballests is that a problem?

If they are true HID then they should come with ballasts. They might just be ultra whites or something.

i think they might only be ultra whites,then never said nothing bout ballests. Are ultra white still good,or atleast better than stock...they were cheap!lol.

how do i adjust them and these actually came with a 2 year ballast and bulb warenty. and ill post some head on pics tommarow

do yourself a favor and upgrade the stock headlight harnesses, as they will burn out and melt if your using a bulb higher than 55W...

Doesn't Scot have 55W HIDs? I seem to recall from ASS2008 that they were crazy bright.....

just install ballasts and bulbs.

if you want TRUE HIDs, you need projectors. which yes... require modification. Most people run w/o though.

not very big, and wherever you want.

and they aren't hotter, they use the same amount of power as the stock bulbs. they just use the power more efficiently. The pseudo HIDs, the bulbs you can buy that claim they are HID but don't have a ballast, if the wattage is too high, it'll melt the harness and/or housing.
