Valve Caps

just got an alignment and the little bastards lost a valve cap. No biggie, it's not like they are that much and I can't say I've never lost one before. So since I'm uber bored at work, I figured I'd throw this out there: which one should I get?

or

on this rim

that's the way I was leaning anyway.

But I don't think the valve cap would be what I was most pissed at. Disconnecting the sub box to get the spare, the fact that it would probably be 100+ when it happened. In fact, the last time I had to change a flat was like 2 years ago and my wife decided the hottest day of the year (I think it was 117 that year) would be the appropriate time for that to happen.

There like $4 at Autozone and I'd be more worried about the kids in my neighborhood stealing my stereo or the whole rim than my valve caps. I had chrome ones since I got rims without incident until the alignment place lost one and I didn't notice until I got home.

no shit. I'll already be pissed cause the scissor jack is the only one I have that will fit under my car. I know it must suck up where you are changing a tire in the cold, but I tell you if you have to sit on the ground for any reason here to change a tire in the summer, the ass sweat is horrendous. I carry a blanket not so much to keep from getting dirty as I do to keep from having to touch the hot asphalt in an emergency

interesting story...I knew a guy that worked for ADOC as a prison guard. He was transporting a prisoner across the facility and the guy was acting up so he was wrestling with him the whole time. The prisoner's shoes came off during the transport (they are all issued sandals out here) and the guard made him keep going barefoot. He ended up with second degree burns on the bottom of his feet and the guard got into some serious shit. Yes, I have actually seen an egg fried on the concrete out here too. I guess the moral is don't drive then you will never have to worry about changing a tire anywhere, hot or cold.

hot weather is more hazardous to your tires' health. Its not common to see flat tires around here....

I could only imagine. If I have to put on anything heavier than a sweatshirt I deem it to cold to work outside. That's not to say I don't mind going up north every once in a while to play in the snow, and I did go to NAU where it snowed just about every day I was there, but one semester there was enough to convince me anywhere it snows is too cold to live.

As for the heat on tires (and batteries too), I've had farts linger for longer than some tires were good on my car thanks to the heat. And, if it rains the streets are slicker than snot cause the rubber builds up from the heat. Come to think of it, I don't know why I live here either.

funny, that's what we tell people to do when they ask what the heat is like, turn on the oven and stand in front of it.
