Brake noise

Ok, so I just switched out my old rotors for some slotted/cross drilled rotors from r1concepts, along with ceramic pads in the front, and I think semi-metallic in the back (from parts source). Since I've put them on, Ive been getting an odd grinding sound in the front end..... not really like the traditional grinding that Ive had with previous brakes either.... It feels fine for braking, and it only makes the noise at slower speeds (under say, 15km/h), and at higher speed braking it has a hum like noise, almost seems like a bass note vibration with it. Any ideas of what this could be? Thanks for any help!

its the pads on the rotors. I have heard that slotted rotors will do that. PS you should have gone with just slotted. Cross drilled rotors have a tendency to crack due to the stress drilling puts on them.

Is the noise only when you're braking?

What type of pads are you using? More than likely I will take it by my mechanic, but I'm just trying to see what things it could be first...... some people I've talked to have said it could be the ceramic pads.

if you get the noise when your stopped and pushing on the pedal its the caliper piston that needs to be lubed with kluber fluid from the dealer. it lubes where the piston and boot interface

It will only do it randomly below about 10-15km/h, the slower the more you can tell....... but it doesnt do it all the time

I notice a noise with my drilled and slotted rotors too... Doesn't bother me too much. They've done it since new.
