Silly Americans, join the rest of the world and go metric.
I've had that Escort going almost 190... but then it crashed.
140 kilometers = 86.9919669 miles

lol, took out a deer in my dad's astro van going 60 mph. it wasn't pretty. van died and deer lost its head.

also took out a raccoon with the corvette. it got stuck in the wheelwell.

michigan is a dangerous place for animals.

in concern to hitting skunks, i think that was the second unconfirmed kill i had, i heard it hit, and smelt it and so i sprayed the underbody for 45 minutes to try and get the skunk out, but anyway, i took her into wal mart the next day get the oil changed, the manager said he would put his new guy on the job for changing the oil.......kinda hoped they would find the tail sheared off or something

In concern to marking road kill.... I do not go out looking for things to kill, it is just nature, this time of year, rather 3 weeks ago and the month prior were a prime breeding time for skunks and also when Raccoon bring out their litters from hiding, I apologize for my cander, but i dont know how many times i have had to grab the wheel from somebody who thinks that swirving and losing control of a car is better than hitting an animal. besides there is a noted over population of raccoons in my area, and always will be. anywho

Sorry man. You just set me off...

Humans impose on animals with roads, Vehicles, pollution, everything else. If we stick a 8 lane blacktop in the middle of their habitat, what the hell is a rabbit supposed to do? I think the way you went about that was horrible and selfish. How would you like to be on the road and get leveled by a car. How about just your lower half? the car can just ride on and leave you with crushed organs, bones, and everything. Just leaving you there and letting you die on the road in the middle of nowhere.

It would look good on you going by the way you're talking.

Some people do go to a dangerous extent to avoid an animal, However, An animal is still a life. It doesn't matter if you're driving a Lexus, Porsche, or a damn Oldsmobile, If you can avoid hitting an animal safely, do so. Don't be a effing rooster.

i have had my fair share of animal/car collisions in the 12 years ive driven... i have hit anything from a bird, that made no attempt to move, i drove over it, it rolled about 15 times, then flew away in a staggaring direction... ive hit 3 skunks, lucky enough to not get sprayed!!! i have also hit a rabbit... when there is 30 of the lil guys bouncing down the middle of the road, and you drive slowly past them, and all of a sudden one thinks its a better idea to turn left, rather than follow the rest of the pack by going right, its hard to miss... i have also had a flock of birds do the same thing... and i will also admit, i have almost wrecked my car trying to avoid some raccoons, late at night driving home, very tired, and all of a sudden, on one shoulder i see one set of eyes, then on the opposite shoulder i see another set of eyes, i figure i was safe to go through, then all of a sudden i see 4 more sets of eyes on the road... it was a family, mother leading, kids, then father following... i hit the brakes, slid to a stop besides them, and the father raccoon kinda gave me a nod of appreciation for making the effort to spare his children and not being careless and driving right on through... sometimes its inevitable to avoid them, other times you can do everything to spare a life... i guess some people just dont appreciate the wild life enough anymore... its all going too subburban now, and its pathetic...

but thats just my 2 cents worth...

I'm not being a rooster, I don't like harming animals. But I'm not going swerve a 3000lb peice of metal at 100km to avoid a rabbit. I was joking about animals being more cautious, they were obviously here first. A life is a life but I think I can make a bigger impact in the world than a rodent - I'll choose my life over Alvin and his chipmunk buddies.

In PA, hitting an animal like a deer (damage to car) it's comsidered a "comp" claim, not a collision, but swerve to miss it and hit something else, it's a collision
