Tire size question
will a 225/40/r18 fit on an 18x8 inch wide rim?

im not sure if the 225 is to narrow since its an 8inch wide rim.

Yes. I think the widest some companies recommend are 8.5" wide rims. Most have a chart on their website that says which tires will fit what size rims.
