Thumbs down

Yesterday, i started to work on my gauges, which included installing my aluminum gauge bezel and the reverse halo gauges.....

well when everything was said and done, i turned on the car and it was reading 10 mph at all times, the temp gauge wasnt even turning and my gas was like below the red line.... but my rpm was correct....

i tried fixing them today, and now my rpm moves weird, and its off, and everything else is totally screwed up...

this is now my 10th time trying to set everything and im about to say screw it....

can someone please help me get my gauges correct?!?

the halo gauges are just overlays right? because when my buddy put overlays in his car they stuck out just enough to catch the needles and it looked like it was screwed up but they weren't i don't know if that will help

Something may be screwed up with the motherboard on the gauges.

I purchased one online, And put it in and my Gas Gauge was stuck on empty. leaving me to belive that if you're not very carefull with them while moddifying them they can break.

if you took the needles off, you pretty much messed it up. if you didn't do anything to the needles, your guages need new motors. the easiest fix would be to get a new guage cluster and take the new guage face, which includes the new motors attached to new needles.

just remember, you don't need to take your needles off for anything, except for the vinyl sticker guage overlays, but those are garbage, so you shouldn't get those anyway. :P (but you got halos, which is alright, I guess. just slide the needles through the middle hole. )

if u dint take the needles off make sure all ur gauges are flat and not touching the needles, use double sided tape.

if u DID take the needles off start the car THEN attach the needles, let it warm up good for the temp gauge, go top off the tank for the fuel, RPMs will kinda depend on ur idle but u could give it some gas and hit the rev limiter to make sure it's close to correct, the speedo is a bit more hard. Myself, im jus goin to onea those radar boards that are set up in town here that tell ya how fast ur goin.
