Rear Disc Conversion
Hey!
I've searched here for threads about doing rear disc conversions, and I know what parts I need, etc, but I have a couple other questions not yet covered.
My car doesn't have ABS. I just want to double check that all the parts will still work properly, I just don't plug the hub in. Do drums require more fluid pressure to operate than a disc brake, or vise versa? My proportioning valve has no electrical connections on it like the one for ABS does, so its at a set metering. Just hoping the rears aren't going to lock up way before the fronts. Any input?
Are there any larger components I could use instead of the stock stuff? I know you can use F-body parts on the front, and a thread mentioned the possibility of using F-body parts on the rear as well but nobody reported back. I'd rather buy new bigger stuff than buy new stock stuff if I can.
Thanks for anything!
