Replace Vinyl On Dash

Since my dash is peeling, i was thinking about taking out the dash and putting new vinyl on myself. Is this a good idea and if so, how much would the vinyl cost for it??? Then i am going to do the doors as well. So please lemme know something before i start rippin crap out. Thanx!

I went to a local upholestry shop and they told me $100 for the vinyl and install. Providing I remove the dash.

Well i was hoping to take it off myself and put my own vinyl on it but if they only charge 100 that might be a better option. Would it be that hard to put vinyl on myself???
