Disabled DRLs Problem

I've tried two methods for disabling my DRLs and both work without a SVS light, but at the same time both methods make my left turn signal bulb stay on while the lights are on (low and high beam). I can use it to signal, but when the left signal isn't on the bulb still is, though at a seemingly low voltage since its not full brightness. First method was bending pin 87 on my DRL relay, second and current method is where you ground the dark blue wire from your BCM. Anyone know whats going on? I want to install a HID conversion kit but I need my DRLs off, and dont want to be running around with a lit up turn signal all the time. My car is the 2002 sedan.

I know that many GM cars used to display one side of the car at a constant low illumination if one of the bulbs is burned out on that side. Just something to rule out in case its that simple.

Just went for a drive and the SVS light is now coming on. Guess I dont need a fix anymore as I'll be undoing it in the morning. Isn't there a way to disable your DRLs without a service light coming on, or other side effects?

Edit: I have used the search.

There is a way to do it with a relay on the Gagt site. I think its still there.

This is the 2nd method I used. I've since gone out and undone it; probably better not to have to worry about it in the morning. The SVS light is still coming on though, and my gauge cluster lights are dead, and for some reason the dome light is staying on in 'door' mode even with the doors closed. All in all, a good nights work..

Yeah, that one I had saved for the morning. Pissing rain here, not to mention the lack of light. I'll check that cruise one first.

If I cant find a problem free way to disable these DRLs, what are my options as far as installing a HID kit? I had wanted to do my low beams, which are used as the DRLs.
