Runon sentence a bit much eh? Anywho, neon will have a brighter, fuller glow, led will not produce the same amount of glow but will last forever.

Cactus,
To an extent you have a point, however the other is not so true. I have a blue (NEO-blue) LED kit under my car and outshine the others with the same NEO-blue neons.

Candy,
What Cactus said about the LEDs lasting longer is DEFINITELY true! The thing with your friends kit is that it IS red. Red LED kits dont produce as much light, as the red neons filling up the WHOLE tubeand then casting the lighting off the ground. Red is a tricky color to play with anyway. IMO

I have had LED kits that run around 300 bucks and am just as satisfied with my current kit that cost 71 bucks. The choice is yours but as with anything else, you get what you pay for.

Huh? LEDs are a ton brighter, and just as full.

depends on quality. some unknown brands are spotty and dim. Good well known brands are just as good as neon, if not better.

lifespan is definitely better. leds also can't crack/break

LED's are def brighter, but focused in a fixed direction. The glow is not the same.

Have you ever sanded the tips on LEDs? They are not directional at all.
